Fitness tracker MyFitnessPal Users: Your Personal Information May Be At Risk

Fitness tracker app “MyFitnessPal” reports data breach

 

I received a warning email from fitness tracker app MyFitnessPal. Apparently, there’s been a breach in usernames and passwords that took place in February of 2018. I’ve switched to Strava to track my activities and workouts, but before that I took to MyFitnessPal to track almost everything. I’ve long since deleted the app from iPhone. I might consequently just deactivate MyFitnessPal account for good.

As I type, it seems MyFitnessPal is yet to sort this out. An application developer myself, I know this is just the stuff nightmares are made of. I’m praying that the business recovers from this.
