#NewYorkCity saw one of the highest increase in ha #NewYorkCity saw one of the highest increase in hate crimes in the past year. It grew common to hear friends & families not wanting to take the subway – heck, even just to go out for a walk – out of fear. 

These crimes are real but we’ll no longer hide behind fear. Shouldn’t we take it upon ourselves to advocate for the protection of our friends, elders, and communities? Not just in hotspots like NYC but in our own backyards, too.

So go read that book in the park. Ride that bike. Go for that walk. Be seen and heard.
